On the 18th of this month we will be speaking at the inaugural sessions of the IRIMO process, a participatory project to design alternatives to give transitional uses to a semi-abandoned industrial site in Urretxu (Gipuzkoa, Spain). The exploration on adaptive urbanism and the intersection of temporary urbanism and masterplanning is one of the topics we are working on and this conference is a great chance to intervene in a practical process in which the limits of traditional urbanism, the current state of economic crisis and the need for new creative solutions to activate urban assets represent a great challenge.
